David Morrison

David MORRISON, was born in Northumberland, Northern England, and qualified with Honors, at the Department of Architecture, School of the Built Environment, Edinburgh University in 1975, in which year he emigrated to the West Indies to work with the international architectural practice of COVELL-MATTHEWS in their offices in St Kitts, where he stayed for two years, then hired by the Bermudian practice of ONIONS, BOUCHARD & McCULLOCH (later OBM) in 1977, for whom he worked in the Cayman Islands, Tortola & Providentiales (Caicos Is) before settling in Sint Maarten in 1978, establishing his practice DAVID MORRISON ASSOCIATES in 1981, licensed in architecture on Sint Maarten, now over twenty years in business.

The practice centers on both residential and commercial projects, specializing in resort & marina works and apartment complexes as well as appraisals & valuations.

In 2003 an association was made with Architect Francois Jaulin, with whom larger works (Cupecoy Yacht Club, Shore Pointe) have been co-designed, with imminent amalgamation planned as CICCA DESIGN.

Mr. Morrison is registered with the Dutch Institute of Architecture (BNA) in Holland and later became Architect D.P.L.G. (Member of the Ordre des Architectes, in Guadeloupe, French West Indies).

His hobbies include travel, sports (esp. golf and cricket) walking and dogs.
